As the UAE continues its journey from emerging economy to global industrial powerhouse, some companies don’t just ride the wave, they help build it. For over four decades, Ducab has been more than a manufacturer of cables and metals, we have been a key enabler of the UAE’s industrial transformation.

From our inception in 1979 to the current expansion spanning more than 75 international markets, one truth stands out: our growth is inseparable from the nation’s own industrial ambitions. As the UAE continues to advance its economic diversification and reinforce its manufacturing credentials, Ducab is proud to support the nation by combining tradition and innovation, leveraging engineering expertise and cutting-edge digital technologies to redefine Industry 4.0.

From primarily serving the local construction sector out of our base in Jebel Ali, we now export 60 per cent of our production to more than 75 countries across six continents. Our global footprint represents more than business growth it highlights the evolution of the UAE’s manufacturing sector, from regional supplier to world-class industrial powerhouse.

Our portfolio now encompasses 85,000 specialised cable variants and comprehensive metals solutions, powering everything from the Burj Khalifa to the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, and from nuclear facilities in South Korea to offshore wind farms in the UK. Each project reinforces: Home-grown solutions can compete and excel on the global stage.

Our Industry 4.0 journey aligns seamlessly with the UAE’s strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology. In 2024, we achieved an in-country value score of 96.89 per cent and now locally source 40 per cent of our industrial raw materials through strategic partnerships with UAE entities like Emirates Global Aluminium and Borouge. This commitment to local value creation, enabled by smart manufacturing, directly supports Operation 300bn and the nation’s broader industrialisation goals.

In 2026, our growth projections reflect both ambitious expansion and strategic diversification. Ducab Metals Business (DMB) has doubled its annual aluminium production capacity positioning us to capture growing global demand.

In 2024, DMB achieved 12 per cent global revenue growth, with projections indicating a further 15 per cent increase in 2025. The acquisition of GIC Magnet last year has further accelerated this momentum, opening new business streams, including paper-insulated aluminium strips essential for electric vehicles, transformers, and electromagnets.

Ducab Cables Business (DCB) closed 2025 on a strong note, powered by strategic expansion and breakthrough innovation. The company is producing a new generation of nuclear energy cables with an operational lifespan of up to 120 years, double the industry standard, reinforcing global confidence in Ducab’s capabilities and building on its record of supplying major projects such as the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant and developments in South Korea.

DCB has further expanded its regional footprint through the acquisition of National Cable Factory in Oman, adding significant production capacity to meet rising local and export demand. With Industry 4.0 tools such as real-time monitoring and automation, the business continues to elevate operational efficiency and supply chain resilience.

Ducab has also introduced the GCC’s first high voltage fiber optic cable, an innovation delivering smarter, greener, and more resilient power solutions, supporting high-voltage transmission and renewable integration, and strengthening the company’s growth in highly regulated global markets.

Our commitment to renewable energy solutions is absolute. In the past five years, we’ve achieved a 10 per cent surge in renewables sales, reflecting the global shift toward sustainable power generation. Our SolarBICC cables, engineered to operate for a minimum of 20 years under the harshest environmental conditions, power landmark projects including the 2 GW Al Dhafra Solar Project – the world’s largest single-site solar plant.

As enablers of the energy transition, every megawatt of clean energy that flows through our cables represents reduced carbon emissions, fossil fuels conserved, and sustainable development advanced.

Our vision for the future remains anchored in three principles: operational excellence through digital transformation, strategic expansion into high-growth markets, and unwavering commitment to sustainability.

From world-class infrastructure to strategic geographic positioning, and from progressive industrial policies to enabling global market access via agreements like CEPA, the UAE has offered us a strategic platform and limitless possibilities. In return, we’re resolved to advancing the nation’s industrial capabilities, creating high-value employment for Emiratis, and demonstrating that ‘Made in the UAE’ is synonymous with world-leading quality and innovation.
