PNC Menon

Founder and Chairman, Sobha Group

PNC Menon’s journey from humble beginnings in India to becoming a notable figure in the regional real estate and construction industry is remarkable.

The founder and chairman of Sobha Group began his entrepreneurial career in 1976, establishing an interior decoration firm in Oman. His firm, Service and Trade Company, quickly became a market leader, undertaking prestigious projects across Oman, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, and Brunei. In recognition of his contributions, Menon and his family were granted Omani citizenship in 1995.

After decades of success in the Middle East, Menon entered the Indian real estate market in 1995 by founding Sobha Developers in Bangalore. Under his leadership, Sobha Developers went public in 2006, achieving an impressive oversubscription of 126 times. Today, Sobha is a $1.5bn market-cap company with a presence in 24 cities and 13 states across India. Expanding his vision internationally, Menon established PNC Investments in 2011 to bring the Sobha brand to the UAE.

His ventures in Dubai include Sobha Hartland, a $4bn luxury mixed-use development, and District One, an $8bn joint venture with Meydan Group. Sobha Realty’s flagship community, Sobha Hartland, now houses over 11,000 residents.
