Ram Kumar Thota Having come from humble origins, Thota, the son of a farmer in India, came to Dubai and founded SRR Building Material Trading in 2007, which has now grown into one of the largest importers, exporters, wholesalers, and retailers of building materials in the UAE. Thota, who claims to have a net worth of $1.5bn, now owns properties in Burj Khalifa along with a yacht in Dubai and a fleet of luxury vehicles.
