Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, the organisers of the Dubai Watch Week (DWW), have confirmed that the 5th edition of the horology-focussed event will take place as an in-person event from November 24-28, 2021

In a statement, the Dubai-based Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, one of the region’s largest luxury watch and jewelry retailers, said that DWW will continue to serve as an educational platform, and position Dubai as a horological hub for its industry peers.

The five-day event will take place at The Gate within the Dubai International Financial Centre.
Seddiqi added that DWW this year will feature a richer event programme under the theme of Connecting, Creating and Celebrating.

This year’s edition will tap into activations and programmes that intersect the world of luxury and horology with other key industries. A core event objective is to create an experiential event with the support of participating brands and partners on the ground.

“This is a milestone year for the UAE and Dubai Watch Week, with the UAE celebrating its 50th anniversary and this being the 5th edition of DWW. Our goal this year is to continue to expand on the unique platform we have built and champion innovative concepts and experiences that appeal to a wider audience,” said Hind Seddiqi, director general at DWW.

“We are delighted to reunite soon with our partners, exhibiting brands, members of the press and enthusiasts on ground to celebrate the industry and the aforementioned milestones,” added Seddiqi.

DWW sees participation from some of the biggest brands in the world. At the 2019 edition, Rolex participated too. It was the first time it did so in any exhibition within the region, and the very rare occasion that it participated in a watch event outside of Switzerland.

Several watchmakers also choose DWW to showcase and launch their novelties. At the 2019 edition, a total of seven watches were launched including two from independent watchmaker H. Moser & Cie, a Hublot Classic Fusion Special Edition Bronze Anticlockwise and the Chopard Alpine Eagle collection.
