The UAE could see some rain activity due to the onset of southwest monsoons in the Indian subcontinent, according to reports in a local daily.
While temperatures are expected to be in the low to mid-40s, the transition to summer temperatures is expected to bring sporadic rainfall in some parts of the country.
Additionally, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast convective cloud activity over the weekend which could bring intermittent rainfall to the eastern emirates of the UAE.
As per the NCM’s weekly forecast, Thursday, June 6 and Friday, June 7 will see the beginning of cloud formation that will eventually bring rain to eastern parts of the country come weekend.
The formation of convective cloud activity is expected to intensify on Saturday, June 8 with rainfall forecast for parts of the country on Sunday, June 9.
The convective cloud activity, caused by the onset of Southwest monsoon in the Indian subcontinent, will bring rain to parts of the UAE on Monday, June 9 as well, forecasts NCM.
Calm seas
Despite the ongoing weather transition, into the summer months, the waters of the Arabian Sea and Oman Sea are expected to have ‘slight’ waves, forecasts NCM.
