Mumtalakat’s portfolio since its establishment has expanded from 29 companies – primarily in Bahrain – to over 60 companies across several markets, while its total assets value tallied $18.9bn in 2019. Prior to joining Mumtalakat, Al Rumaihi served as the CEO of Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), preceded by over a decade at Investcorp as managing director. Al Rumaihi is also chairman of the board at Bahrain Development Bank.
