Home lists Top 100 most powerful Arabs 2021 Haifa Al Khaifi CEO, Energy Development Oman Origin: Oman Residence: Oman Sector: Energy Haifa Al Khaifi, the CFO at Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), was additionally appointed in January as the CEO of Energy Development Oman (EDO), a newly formed holding company that will represent the Omani government’s stake in PDO. Besides being the chairperson of the board of State Street Saudi Arabia, Al Khaifi also recently oversaw the transfer of the Omani government’s 60 per cent stake in Block 6 from PDO to EDO, the latter of which is expected to issue approximately $3bn of bonds in 2021. Al Khaifi will no doubt play a significant role in helping Oman diversify its economy.
