In late December, he stepped aside from the CEO role, but as MD continues to oversee EGA – the biggest industrial company in the UAE outside oil and gas. Earlier this year, following an agreement signed by EGA with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, the UAE became the world’s first country to produce aluminium using solar power.
