Under his leadership, Aldar has developed some of Abu Dhabi’s most iconic landmarks and diversified its business into asset management while continuing to launch new developments like last year’s $653m Water’s Edge and $353.9m The Bridges. Similarly, in tourism the emirate has gone from strength to strength through the launch of attractions and programmes such as last year’s long-awaited Louvre Museum and others to come including Warner Bros and Sea World theme parks. No wonder Abu Dhabi welcomed more than 3.5 million hotel guests during the first nine months of 2017, a 7 per cent increase on the previous year.
