Anil Pillai Having established his construction business Airolink in Ireland in 2001, Anil Pillai ventured into the Middle East region in 2008 and shifted the base of the company to the UAE. Under his leadership, the Airolink group has come a long way in terms of executing construction projects across the Middle East, Europe, and India. This year, the contractor reportedly has ongoing projects worth more than $1.36bn, with a further $1.4bn worth of projects in its pipeline. In 2019, Pillai was awarded the UAE’s gold card long-term residency visa. He was also appointed by the United Nations as a UN counselor last year.
