Mishal-led Kanoo Group has investment interests across several industries ranging from shipping, travel, machinery, logistics, energy, real estate, logistics, specialty chemicals, and among others.

He is a scion of one of the GCC region’s family businesses, which was founded in 1967. Kanoo was the group’s deputy chairman before he took to the helm of the family business in 2015. He doubles as the chairman of private equity firm KAAF Investments and KHK & Partners Limited, vice chairman of HAYAH Insurance Company and sits on the board of Gulf Capital.

Kanoo is also a visiting lecturer at the American University of Sharjah School of Business Administration. He started his working career with Arthur Andersen inDubai before joining the Kanoo Group in 1997.
