UAE telecoms operator Etisalat is offering free wifi access across popular areas in the country to mark the 45th UAE National Day.
Residents will be able to access the service in malls, cafes, beaches and parks from November 30 to December 3, 2016, the operator said in a statement.
The free service is being made available through the ‘UAE WiFi by Etisalat’ network.
The ‘UAE WiFi by Etisalat’ network offers free internet access at more than 300 locations across the UAE to registered mobile data users.
Earlier this month, it was announced that free wifi will be provided by Etisalat on board over 100 intercity buses from Dubai.
The high-speed wifi service, available on board buses to Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, is part of the smart city programme currently being implemented in Dubai.
In October, the Dubai Taxi Corporation also revealed plans to offer free wifi on board all of its cars.
Previously, the Dubai Municipality also signed an agreement with telecom provider du to offer free wifi across all major public parks and beaches in the city.
