The titles were approved by Dawoud Al Hajri, director-general of Dubai Municipality. The move aims to ensure the continuity of municipal services and operations efficiently. Dubai Municipality has started implementing the remote work system under normal circumstances as well as other applicable work systems, such as a shift system and a flexible working system – which it has been implementing since 2007. The municipality’s strategy has also contributed to the smart transformation of the department and for qualifying and developing employees, the report added. In December last year, Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum approved the work-from-home system at the Dubai government. The move was aimed at creating a lean work environment that meets the requirements for future job opportunities and reflects positively on employees.
