As the Lunar New Year or commonly referred to as Chinese New Year begins from February 10, various venues across Dubai and Abu Dhabi have set up dazzling celebrations to welcome the Year of the Dragon.

Among the most anticipated events are the spectacular fireworks displays, which promise to illuminate the night sky with bursts of color and light.

From iconic landmarks like the Burj Al Arab to family-friendly destinations such as Global Village, residents and visitors alike have numerous opportunities to join in the festivities and witness breathtaking performances.

Top spots to catch the Chinese New Year celebrations in Dubai, Abu Dhabi

Dubai Festival City Mall

A fireworks display will light up the sky to welcome the Lunar New Year. Plus, shoppers spending Dhs300 or more at the mall’s shops can enjoy a 10 per cent cashback promotion. Date: Sunday;  Time: 9pm

Dubai Parks and Resorts

Join the festivities at Global Village with fireworks lighting up the night sky at 9pm on both Friday and Saturday. Explore the 28th season of the attraction, boasting numerous pavilions, retail outlets, dining options, and entertainment shows. Date: Friday and Saturday, Time: 9pm

Al Maryah Island
