Al Ghurair appointed DIFC Authority chairman

Mashreq bank chairman Abdul Azuz Al Ghurair is also vice chairman of DIFC’s higher board of directors.

Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair, the chairman of Mashreq bank, has been appointed as the chairman of the Dubai International Financial Centre Authority (DIFCA), it was announced on Sunday.

DIFCA oversees the management and administration of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), which has over 840 active registered companies.

Al Ghurair is also the vice chairman of DIFC’s higher board of directors, which oversees all the three units under the centre including the DIFCA, the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) and the DIFC Courts.
