Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) has issued a notification informing motorists of a partial road closure on social media.
The centre announced that the road closure will be effective on Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Road (E10) – Abu Dhabi from Saturday, June 24 to Monday, June 26.
The right lane of the road heading towards Abu Dhabi will be closed according to the advisory.
Partial road closure to be imposed on Al Saada Street bridge
On June 20, ITC announced a partial closure of Al Saada Street bridge along with imposing speed limits.
The authorities stated that the new speed limit, aimed at promoting traffic safety, will be effective from June 23 and will be in place until December.
The traffic authority has advised motorists to use alternate streets such as Umm Yafina Road, Sultan bin Zayed the First Street, Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed street to avoid congestion on Al Saada Street Bridge.
New intersection added
The authority also announced the opening of new signalled intersection on Shakhbout Bin Sultan Street – Al Ain.
ITC has urged motorists to abide by traffic rules and drive carefully.
Speed limits introduced
Abu Dhabi has also recently tweaked speed limits on some roads. Authorities recently lowered the speed limit on Sweihan Road — from Al Falah Bridge towards Abu Dhabi International Airport — from 140kmph to 120kmph from June 7.

In April, Abu Dhabi Police introduced a new minimum speed limit of 120km/h on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Road starting April 1 and from May 1 violators are being fined Dhs400.
