Beginning his entrepreneurial journey in Saudi Arabia in the late 1970s, Pillai expanded RP Group’s footprint into multiple GCC markets, executing over $20bn in projects in the past decade. In December 2024, he was conferred Bahrain’s Medal of Efficiency (First Class), becoming the only foreign national awarded the honour, in recognition of his contributions to the kingdom’s development and investment climate.
