World’s biggest TikTok star Khaby Lame partners with Talabat in Egypt in new ad

Senegalese-Italian TikTok star Khaby Lame has joined forces with Talabat Egypt to star in the delivery service provider’s Middle East advertising campaign.

The campaign playfully emphasises the advantages of using the Talabat app in today’s digital era, suggesting that making phone calls to order food may no longer be necessary.

It showcases features such as a vast selection of restaurants and supermarkets, the ability to track deliveries in real-time, and the convenience of avoiding direct communication when ordering through the app, catering to introverted individuals.

All of this is underscored by Khaby Lame’s inimitable and unique style of driving home a point.

The campaign aptly adopts the tagline “Say less.”

As of April 2023, Lame is one of the most followed accounts on TikTok with over 159 million followers, along with over 80 million followers on Instagram.

He has been roped in by Hugo Boss as one of their brand ambassadors, and has also starred in ads with Kendall Jenner and Hailey Baldwin.

Lame is known for his comedy sketches, which sarcastically and satirically mocking basic “life hacks” that are too complicated for no reason. In 2021, he had earned $10m according to Forbes – all while saying nothing at all.

Talabat’s strategic collaboration with the TikTok star aims to target Egypt’s young demographic while expanding its reach to other markets such as Jordan, UAE, Bahrain, Oman, and Iraq.
