Home UAE Abu Dhabi Weather forecast: More rain on the way for Abu Dhabi, Dubai says NCM The NCM has forecast rain for Wednesday, May 1 and thunderstorms for Thursday, May 2 by Marisha Singh April 25, 2024 Image credit: Getty Images The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast more rain in the coming week for the UAE. While parts of the country are set to receive light showers on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27, heavier rain and thunderstorms are on the way for the beginning of May. Weekend weather The weather bulletin for Friday forecasts fair to partly cloudy conditions in general. The NCM said some regions could see some convective cloud formation followed by rainfall. Saturday will see similar weather conditions along with the probability of mist formation. The sea will be slight to moderate at times in the Arabian Gulf and slight in Oman Sea. May to start with rain and thunderstorms While the saying goes “April showers, May flowers”, for the UAE rain and thunderstorms will continue in to the first week of May.
