Several parts of the country also witnessed heavy rains with thunder and hail during the weekend and on Tuesday. The UAE recorded its highest amount of rainfall in 24 years, NCM said on Sunday, January 12. Due to heavy showers, an African maid in Ras Al Khaimah died when the wall collapsed on her on Saturday.
