UK educational services company Gabbitas Educational Consultants has launched operations in the Middle East and signed a Dhs500 million agreement to manage four new British curriculum schools in Dubai.

The investment from Indian businessman Mohan Valrani will be used to create two primary schools and two secondary schools, which will open in phases from 2016 to 2019.

Gabbitas will provide families with a school placement service from its new Dubai office, advising on independent schools for children and offering a full guardianship service for overseas students at UK boarding schools.

The company will also offer guidance on selection and application to overseas universities and advise on independent schools, and summer school programmes.

“We believe the time is right for us to open in the Middle East, where there is strong demand for more personalised and better informed services regarding schooling and higher education,” said Ian Hunt, managing director of Gabbitas Educational Consultants.

“We are especially excited to announce the signing of an agreement with Mr Mohan Valrani to create four new schools in Dubai, which will offer high quality British curriculum options for the local community.”
