UAE weather: Relief from soaring temperatures as NCM forecasts rain in days ahead

The weather agency has forecast intermittent showers for parts of the country

The temperatures across the UAE have crossed into 40 degrees C territory but some relief might be on the way. The National Centre of Metereology (NCM) has forecast light rain across parts of the country.

In its weekly forecast, the NCM said the country will see some convective cloud activity followed by light rain showers this afternoon. This weather system is set to continue till the end of the week.

Weather is expected to be fair to partly cloudy for most parts of the week along with some blowing dust and wind. The mercury is set to reach 42 degrees C in Abu Dhabi while Dubai and Sharjah will see temperatures hit 41 degrees C respectively.

Forecast for the next ten days shows temperatures dipping below the 40 degrees C mark for Dubai and ranging between 35 to 38 degrees C.
