UAE weather: Conditions fluctuate with fog, hail storm and 50 degrees C high
This is the second time in a week, that temperatures in the UAE, neared the 50 degrees C mark.


The UAE is seeing fluctuating weather conditions, across different parts of the country, at the start of the summer season.
The weekend saw parts of Al Ain report of hail storm, while parts of Abu Dhabi had extremely foggy conditions and Sharjah, on the other hand, witnessed brief rain showers.
The country’s weather authority, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), in its weekly forecast, has said that similar weather conditions are set to continue in the days ahead with chances of convective cloud bringing in more rain.

Weekly weather forecast
The NCM forecast low clouds will appear on the eastern coast in the morning, with a chance of rainy convective clouds formation, which may be accompanied by brief showers.
In its daily statement, NCM said that winds will be light to moderate in speed, occasionally becoming active during the day.
The centre added that the winds would be light to moderate, and active at times during the day. The wind would be from the Southeast to Northeast at 10 to 25 km/h, reaching up to 40 km/h.
The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.

Fog alert
The NCM issued an alert for extremely foggy conditions in the early hours of Monday, with visibility dropping across some parts of Abu Dhabi.

Rains in Sharjah, Al Ain
Meanwhile, Sharjah and Al Ain reported rain showers and hail storm over the weekend.
The NCM posted that Sharjah’s Maleha witnessed to light to moderate rainfall with #cloudseeding, implying that some cloud fare activity was carried out in the emirate.

Additionally, parts of Al Ain witnessed heavy rainfall along with hail on June 22.
Al Dhafra nears 50 degrees C mark
On June 21, the NCM reported that the mercury in Mezaira in Al Dhafra hit 49.9 degrees C, the highest temperature of the year, in the country.
