UAE: Unvaccinated federal govt staff to undergo PCR test every 48 hours

The new directive will come into effect from August 29

Unvaccinated federal government employees in the UAE are mandated to take a Covid-19 PCR test every two days.

The directive applies to employees of federal government departments and ministries, the Federal Authority For Government Human Resources has announced.

 

Those employees that have received both doses of the vaccine are exempt from the ruling.

A total of 60,942 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine were administered in past 24 hours, authorities reported on August 21. The total vaccine doses have now reached 17.6 million across the country.

Meanwhile, 1,066 new Covid-19 infections were revealed on August 21, raising the nationwide total to 708,302.
