UAE confirms private sector holiday dates for Eid Al Adha

Private sector workers in the UAE have been granted Thursday, August 31 to Saturday, September 2 off to mark Eid Al Adha.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation confirmed the holiday dates, which were later tweeted by state news agency WAM.

The announcement means private sector workers who normally have a Friday/Saturday weekend will receive one extra day off.

In comparison, their public sector counterparts have been granted an additional day of holiday on Sunday, September 2, and will return to work on Monday.
