While the aviation industry charts a cautious comeback, Dubai carrier flydubai has been rapidly expanding its connectivity. In January, it announced flights to four European destinations, with more cities added since that announcement. Among CEO Al Ghaith’s pressing priorities this year would be to cut losses at the airline and also to ensure a seamless reintegration of its 11 Boeing 737 MAX 8 and three Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft back into its active fleet. The airline’s cargo division meanwhile joined the World Logistics Passport initiative this year, which will likely spur revenues for its freighter division.
