Home GCC UAE Sheikh Mohammed announces two ministerial appointments The appointments were made as per directives issued by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE by Zainab Mansoor February 28, 2021 Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced new appointments to the UAE government. Hamad Mubarak Al Shamsi, the former secretary general of the Supreme Petroleum Council in 2014, was appointed as a state minister, while Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman was designated as the chairman of protocols for the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, which has a ministerial ranking. Sulaiman previously held the post of director-general of the Dubai Protocol and Hospitality Department, official news agency WAM reported.
