Ras Al Khaimah: Covid-19 precautionary measures in effect till April 8

Shopping malls are allowed to operate at 60 per cent capacity

Ras Al Khaimah has extended the implementation of Covid-19 preventive protocols until April 8.

Capacity of public beaches and parks has been restricted to 70 per cent, while shopping malls are allowed to operate at 60 per cent capacity.

Meanwhile, family gatherings and community events such as weddings, will be restricted to 10 people and those gathering for funerals will be capped at 20.

Social distance of two meters must be maintained, while wearing a mask in public places is mandatory. Public transport, cinemas and recreational events and activities, fitness centres and gyms, and hotel swimming pools and beaches must operate at 50 per cent capacity.

Last month, all private and public schools and nurseries in Ras Al Khaimah were asked to shift to 100 per cent distance learning until further notice.

All Ramadan tent permits in Dubai and Ajman were also cancelled, authorities reported earlier this month.
