Qatar Airways Launches Direct Flights To Miami

Qatar Airways’ launched flights to Miami this week, making the airline the first to launch a non-stop service from the Middle East to the city.

Miami International Airport becomes the airline’s sixth US gateway, and it’s 142nd destination from Qatar’s central hub in Doha.

The maiden voyage on Tuesday follows the launch of a non-stop service to Philadelphia in April, as the airline continues to expand its services in the United States.

Direct flights into Dallas will commence next month.

The new route is being served by a Boeing 777-200 with 42 business class and 217 economy class seats.

“Miami is an essential destination in our expanding global network,” said Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker.

“Our aim is to bring the world closer together through a five-star unparalleled aviation experience, and we are particularly pleased that, for the first time, Florida is being served from the Middle East market.”
