The young Saudi graduates from AlUla will start their “Training and Employment” journey by enrolling in a three-week consulting training programme, after which they will learn the essence of consulting within PwC’s various lines of service. The programme allows the young graduates to advance their digital capabilities while acquiring skills and experience in process mapping, hypothesis-based problem solving, data analytics, risk, quality and project management. “At PwC, we strongly believe in the capabilities and potential of the youth and as such, we place great emphasis on ensuring they are equipped with a comprehensive and future-ready skillset to kick-start a thriving career,” said Sameer Saleh, transformation management unit lead partner – Government & Public Sector at PwC Middle East. “We recognise that investing in local talent not only enables us to better meet the needs of our local clients but helps us build a more sustainable talent model aligned with Saudi Arabia’s ambitious vision for 2030 and beyond.” The capacity upskilling event in ‘AlUla’ attracted participants from different backgrounds including archaeology, law, anthropology, business administration and electrical engineering. PwC Middle East in Saudi Arabia Meanwhile, PwC Middle East received its regional headquarters licence from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Investment and the Ministry of Commerce in May. The professional services firm plans to assist in setting strategies, driving transformation and providing human-led, technology-powered solutions to build trust and achieve sustainable outcomes. With a strong workforce of over 2,000 employees in Saudi Arabia, more than 1,000 of whom are Saudi nationals including over 400 Saudi women, PwC Middle East is a significant contributor to talent development in the Gulf state and is committed to expanding its staffing numbers over the next three years in the region. This year the company has recruited more than 200 Saudi graduates, over half of whom are women. PwC Middle East is deeply invested in Saudisation as part of its ‘Hemam 2.0 programme’, which aims to develop and retain top national talent, empower Saudi youth and enable their professional growth. The centre will provide a platform to ideate with clients and showcase innovative products, services and disruptive technologies to solve the region’s most pressing problems. The Riyadh office and headquarters add to PwC Middle East’s strong footprint of six offices across Saudi Arabia including offices in Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar, Dhahran and AlUla.
