Trains will depart from Centrepoint Metro Station and will only stop at the following stations: Emirates Metro Station, Airport Terminal 1 Station, Airport Terminal 3 Station, and GGICO Station. RTA has advised commuters to ensure their nol cards have a minimum balance of Dhs15 before departing. Additionally, taxis will be available at centrepoint and GGICO stations to easily transport travellers to their destinations after their metro journey. According to the National Centre for Meteorology (NCM), the following weather conditions are forecast: Wednesday to Thursday: Moderate to heavy rain is expected in scattered areas, with occasional lightning and thunder. Possibility of small hail in western regions, coastal areas, and some eastern areas. Friday and Saturday: Decrease in cloud quantities with the possibility of continued light to medium rain, potentially heavy in southern and eastern regions. The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), in collaboration with various governmental entities, including the Ministry of Interior and the National Centre for Meteorology (NCM), has heightened the readiness and preparedness levels to address the current weather conditions in the country. The Joint Weather and Tropical Assessment Team, under the guidance of NCEMA, conducted multiple meetings to assess the situation and devise strategies to mitigate the impacts of the impending weather conditions, according to the state news agency, WAM. These include the following: The Ministry of Interior, in coordination with NCEMA, recommended activating remote learning for all educational institutions on Thursday and Friday. Remote work systems were advised for both government and private sectors on the same days, except for essential personnel involved in response and recovery efforts. Decisions regarding work arrangements will be made by competent authorities at both federal and local levels, in consultation with relevant agencies. All roads leading to areas prone to flash floods, water accumulation and dams will be closed during the weather conditions. Public adherence to safety standards and guidelines is strongly advised, including avoidance of mountainous, desert, and coastal areas. Compliance with directives from competent authorities and reliance on official sources for information are emphasised to prevent misinformation and ensure public safety.
