Abu Dhabi developer Bloom Properties has awarded the main construction contract for its waterfront development in Dubai, Stella Maris.

The main works contract has been awarded to General Construction Company, a statement said.

Located at the southern end of Dubai Marina, Stella Maris is a 52-storey luxury development including 313 high-end residences in total.

The units range in size from one- to three- bedrooms, as well as four-bedroom duplex apartments and penthouses.

The development will offer amenities such as a multi-purpose room, a lounge area, a snooker room, a playroom for children, a gymnasium and a private theatre.

Outdoor public amenities include a garden, swimming pools and play areas.

The project was launched in April 2015, with the developer anticipating completion in 30 months.

Bloom Properties – the property and lifestyle development arm of Abu Dhabi’s National Holding – also launched another project in Dubai last year.

Bloom Heights, a mixed-use two-tower project in Dubai’s Jumeirah Village Circle, will include 686 residential units linked internally by four podium levels, with a mixture of studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.

The Abu Dhabi developer said the project, due to be completed in early 2019, would mark its first foray into mid-market housing in Dubai, with prices starting from Dhs360,000.
