A deal with South Korea’s Daelim Industrial to build an ammonia plant in Ras Al Khaimah at a cost of $893m soon followed, along with other partnerships. A lot of attention will be on Al Mudaifer in the coming years as he leads Ma’aden’s plans to start work on a $6.4bn phosphate complex by 2023. The company enjoyed Q3 net profit gains in 2018m rising to SAR518.8, ($138.3m) from SAR262.6m ($70m) a year earlier.
