Another popular American TV anchor from the Arab region is NBC’s Hoda Kotb, who co-hosts the Today Show. The Egyptian American, who also serves as a correspondent for NBC’s Dateline show, has been a familiar and popular television journalist for several years now. Also a New York Times best-selling author, Kotb has written three books – How I Survived War Zones, Bad Hair, Cancer and Kathie Lee; Ten Years Later: Six People Who Faced Adversity and Transformed Their Lives; and, most recently, Where We Belong: Journeys That Show Us the Way. A breast cancer survivor, Kotb has participated in several initiatives to raise awareness about the issue.
