Mohammad is an investor and a scion of one of the GCC region’s biggest family-owned businesses. He took the helm of the business that was founded by his father, Abdulaziz Hassan Baker, in 2016.

Under his leadership, the retail giant has grown exponentially into a conglomerate with a presence in 12 countries and a portfolio of more than global 120 brands.

It operates across five key verticals, including sports, everyday goods, health and beauty, properties and logistics.

The Dubai-based GMG expanded its footprint in Southeast Asia, where it already operates 31 stores, with the opening of an offce in Singapore.
