Home GCC Kuwait Kuwait experiences earthquake “Many people in Kuwait have felt the jolt”, the country’s seismic network said by Robert Anderson May 6, 2018 Kuwait National Seismic Network (KNSN) recorded an earthquake measuring 3.0 on the Richter scale on Sunday. The quake struck across eastern Kabd and southern Jahra at 1:50am, the organisation said according to state news agency KUNA. It was recorded 3.7km below the surface. “Many people in Kuwait have felt the jolt”, KNSN said. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries. Last month, residents of Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar felt tremors from an earthquake measuring 5.7 on the richter scale. The epicentre was southwest of Shiraz in Iran.
