El Al Israel Airlines flew its first scheduled commercial passenger flight from Israel to the UAE on Sunday, December 13.
The El Al flight departed from Tel Aviv and landed at Dubai International Airport (DXB) on Sunday morning.
The national carrier of Israel will operate up to 14 weekly flights between the two destinations, using Boeing 787 Dreamliners and B739 aircraft.
On November 26, Dubai carrier flydubai flew its first scheduled commercial flight DXB at Tel Aviv Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV).

Flydubai will operate 14 flights a week, offering a double daily service between DXB and TLV.
Earlier this month, Israir’s inaugural flight from Tel Aviv landed at DXB, making it the first Israeli airline to operate a commercial flight into Dubai. Israir too has committed to operating up to 14 weekly flights using its Airbus A320 aircraft between the two destinations.

Abu Dhabi based carrier Etihad meanwhile has said that it would launch daily scheduled year-round flights connecting Abu Dhabi-Tel Aviv starting March 28, 2021.

The decision to launch direct flights between the two countries follows the signing of the historic Abraham Accords between in September.
