The Ciel is set to become the tallest all-hotel tower in the world when it opens its doors in 2025. The First Group, the property owner, has built a portfolio of hotels and lifestyle venues since its founding in 2005. The Ciel represents the company’s largest and most ambitious project, having already garnered seven major awards, including Best International Hotel Architecture accolades. Highlights of Ciel Standing over 80 stories high, the luxurious property will feature more than 1,000 rooms and suites, alongside amenities such as three restaurants, Dubai’s highest infinity pool, a fitness centre, spa, club lounge, and an observation bar offering panoramic views of Palm Jumeirah, the Arabian Gulf, and the Dubai skyline. Rob Burns, CEO of The First Group, expressed excitement about the partnership: “Ciel is poised to become a leading lifestyle destination in Dubai, connecting to IHG’s global network and renowned IHG One Rewards programme. “This collaboration will redefine upper upscale hospitality in the region, showcasing innovation and excellence through its unique design and breathtaking views.” IHG’s Vignette Collection The Vignette Collection aims to curate unique, exclusive hotel experiences, allowing owners to maintain their distinct identity while leveraging IHG’s extensive resources and expertise in luxury and lifestyle hospitality. Haitham Mattar, MD for India, Middle East & Africa at IHG, stated, “The signing of this agreement marks a significant milestone in our expanding luxury and lifestyle portfolio in the Middle East.” IHG currently operates 117 hotels across nine brands in the Middle East, including InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, and Holiday Inn, with an additional 83 hotels in the pipeline as of June 30.
