The First Group, a UAE-based hospitality solutions provider, has announced the successful completion of The First Collection Waterfront in Dubai.

Located on the Canal Boardwalk in Business Bay, it is scheduled to welcome its first guests in Q4 2023.

It is the third property under the group’s homegrown The First Collection hotel brand. The other two existing properties under that hotel brand include The First Collection at Jumeirah Village Circle and The First Collection Business Bay.

The First Collection Waterfront will feature 327 rooms and suites. Its rooftop pool will offer panoramic views of Dubai’s landmarks including the iconic Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Canal.

Its leisure amenities include a spa and a gym. F&B options at the property will include an Asian specialty restaurant, and The First Group’s homegrown brand – Risen Café and Artisanal Bakery.

The hotel will also offer complimentary transfers to the nearby The Dubai Mall as well as the Mall of the Emirates.

“The introduction of The First Collection Waterfront further strengthens the presence of our homegrown brand, reaffirming its position as the preferred choice for discerning global travellers in pursuit of excellence. The First Collection Waterfront combines convenience, urban, and authentic local experiences for its guests. We are confident that The First Collection Waterfront will become a sought-after destination for both business and leisure travellers,” said Karim Abdelhamid, vice president of Hotel Operations for The First Group.

The group noted that its two existing properties under The First Collection brand together welcome approximately 850,000 guests annually from several countries including Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, UK, Russia, France, US, and Italy.

The First Group is also gearing up to open the world’s tallest hotel in Dubai next year. Ciel will open in the first quarter of 2024 and the group noted that the 82-storey property will be its largest and most complex development to date. NORR has designed the hotel’s key features including its observation deck on the 81st floor and a rooftop infinity pool and bar that will be located on the 76th floor. Another noteworthy feature of Ciel will be its 300m tall interior atrium that will feature vertically stacked landscaped and naturally ventilated terraces.
