The UAE authorities issued a weather alert as heavy rain, accompanied by thunder, pounded parts of the country. Authorities also alerted people to be cautious while driving during the rain, due to poor visibility caused by rain and winds that raise dust and dirt, warned against approaching catchment areas and valleys. The lowest temperatures recorded in the country on Saturday: 7.1°C in Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah at 3:45am, 9.8°C in Jebel Mabrah, 13.7°C in Jebel Hafeet and 13.8°C in Jabal, according to the NCM. The forecast for Sunday is that it would be partly cloudy in general and cloudy at times with a chance of light to moderate rainfall during the daytime over some coastal, northern and eastern areas.
