Golden Visa holders in Dubai will be gifted Esaad privilege card

Are you a Golden Visa holder? If so, you are entitled to a discount Esaad card with exclusive offers and discounts.

The card provides discounts across several sectors, including healthcare, education, hospitality, entertainment, real estate, and restaurants, among others. These offers are available for cardholders at 7,237 brands and businesses within the UAE and across 92 countries.

Launched in 2018 by the General Directorate of Dubai Police, the Esaad card was only previously available to select government employees. Five-year and ten-year Golden Visa holders are now eligible to receive this privilege card too.

With the new initiative, select categories of Golden Visa holders in Dubai will receive the card. These include investors in public investment funds and real estate, entrepreneurs, people with specialised talents and researchers in science and knowledge, such as scientists, doctors, specialists, inventors, and creative people in culture and art.

They will also include executive directors, specialised academics, professional sportspeople, PhD degree holders specialising in engineering or science, humanitarian aid workers, and outstanding university and high-school graduates.

Abdulla Mohammed Al Basti, secretary general of the Executive Council of Dubai, said, “ We are proud of Team Esaad’s outstanding efforts and for creating a diverse and compelling range of incentives across various sectors. They have spread the concept of happiness as a core value within the Dubai society whilst enhancing the government’s focus on supporting our leadership’s vision to make Dubai the happiest place in the world.”

Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, said: “ The directive reflects the leadership’s vision to make the UAE a hub of innovation and a destination for innovators, creatives, and entrepreneurs to thrive. Long-term Golden Visas for select categories of residents offer them and their families the stability to succeed in an empowering environment.”

The Golden visa is a long-term residence visa which enables foreign talents to live, and work or study in the UAE while enjoying exclusive benefits. Investors, entrepreneurs, scientists, outstanding students and graduates, humanitarian pioneers and frontline heroes are amongst those eligible for the Golden visa.

Since it was launched in Dubai, 65,000 people have benefited. Recently, it was announced that foreigners investing in property in the UAE can get Golden Visa directly through real estate developers. Those purchasing a secondary or off-plan property for Dhs2m now have the option to obtain 10-year residency as part of the country’s plan to attract further investments.

In other news, earlier in March, The Abu Dhabi Residents Office (ADRO) outlined several benefits that holders of the Abu Dhabi Golden Visa will receive within the emirate. These include exclusive offers on cars, flexible local and international insurance plans, hospitality discounts and hospitality bundles, exclusive discounts on selected real estate projects and dedicated customer service too for real estate enquiries, as well as special facilities for opening bank accounts.
