GCC Covid-19 update: Saudi reports 3,123 cases, 41 deaths; UAE registers 450 infections, 2 deaths

The death toll in Saudi Arabia has risen to 1,387

UAE
The UAE reported 450 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total number of infections in the country up to 46,133.

The cases were detected following 44,291 tests carried out to screen for the virus.

The government also reported 702 new recoveries, and therefore over 34,405 have now recovered from the virus.

There are still 11,421 active cases, most of whom were reported to be in a stable condition.

Amna Al Dahak Al Shamsi, official spokesperson of the UAE Government, also confirmed two deaths. The total number of fatalities has risen to 307.

Saudi Arabia
The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia has registered 3,123 Covid-19 cases and 41 related deaths on June 24.

Al Hafouf recorded 343 infections, followed by Dammam (286) and Taif (284).

The death toll across the kingdom stands at 1,387, while the total infection count tallies 167,267.

Kuwait
Kuwait registered 846 Covid-19 cases and three deaths, raising the infection count to 41,879 and death toll to 337.

The total recoveries tally 32,809.

Oman
The Ministry of Health in Oman registered 1,142 infections, of which 671 were Omanis.

With two additional deaths, the fatality toll has risen to 142.

Bahrain
Out of 8,313 Covid-19 tests carried out on June 23, 655 new cases have been detected, the Ministry of Health tweeted.

There were 588 recoveries, increasing the total number of recoveries to 17,450.
