Home Covid-19 GCC Covid-19 update: Saudi reports 3,123 cases, 41 deaths; UAE registers 450 infections, 2 deaths The death toll in Saudi Arabia has risen to 1,387 by Zainab Mansoor June 24, 2020 UAE The UAE reported 450 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total number of infections in the country up to 46,133. The cases were detected following 44,291 tests carried out to screen for the virus. The government also reported 702 new recoveries, and therefore over 34,405 have now recovered from the virus. There are still 11,421 active cases, most of whom were reported to be in a stable condition. Amna Al Dahak Al Shamsi, official spokesperson of the UAE Government, also confirmed two deaths. The total number of fatalities has risen to 307. Saudi Arabia The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia has registered 3,123 Covid-19 cases and 41 related deaths on June 24. Al Hafouf recorded 343 infections, followed by Dammam (286) and Taif (284). There were 588 recoveries, increasing the total number of recoveries to 17,450.
