The First Group provided further details about the completion benchmarks of the property. It said that work on the structure is now 99 per cent complete, with the the mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP), first and second fix work now 80 per cent complete in the building’s basement, podium floors, and storey levels.

The installation of building façade brackets is reportedly complete up to the 72nd floor, and the curtain wall installation has reached the 70th floor.

“We are thrilled to bring Ciel to Dubai’s skyline, a ground-breaking project that will redefine upscale hospitality and showcase the best of what the city has to offer. Despite the challenges presented by the pandemic, we are making great progress and firmly on track to open the property officially in 2024,” said Rob Burns, CEO of The First Group.
