Digital mobile fuel delivery service ENOC Link, part of the ENOC Group, has signed an agreement with Expo 2020 Dubai to supply its fleet with over 1 million litres of fuel.

Earlier this year, ENOC launched its Service Station of the Future at the Expo 2020 site, which will serve the public at District 2020, and also support the Expo fleet’s logistical needs.

Keeping in mind the sustainability focus at the Expo, ENOC installed 283 solar photovoltaic panels that can generate 143MWh of solar power every year, and a 25-metre wind turbine will generate 12.7 MWh of wind energy annually at the service station. Over 43,000 square metres of carbon fibre has been used to build the 133 multi-layer canopy frame.

The service station also received the LEED platinum certification from the US Green Building Council, making it the world’s first platinum certified station. LEED verifies that designs and buildings are built considering factors based on metrics such as energy savings, water efficiency, and CO2 emissions, among other measures.

We are committed to developing innovative technologies and solutions that enhance customer service and support the growth of the economy,” said Saif Humaid Al Falasi, group CEO of ENOC.

Manal AlBayat, chief engagement officer, Expo 2020 Dubai, added, “For an event of this scale, identifying ways to maximise efficiency behind the scenes is imperative. Thanks to ENOC Link and its cutting-edge digital technology, Expo’s back-of-house process will be safe, streamlined and seamless, supporting Expo’s goal to showcase ideas and innovations that are shaping the future.”

ENOC Group plans to invest Dhs250m of its overall 2021 expenditure towards further promoting its digital transformation strategy.
