Home GCC UAE Emirates Loto, rebranded as Mahzooz, postpones Dhs50m lottery in the UAE The organisers said that the decision to do so stemmed from “circumstances outside our control” by Varun Godinho November 22, 2020 EWINGS, the managing operator of the Dhs50m Mahzooz lottery – previously known as the Emirates Loto – has postponed the inaugural draw which was scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 21, in the UAE. The organisers said that the decision to do so stemmed from “circumstances outside our control” which compelled them to push the inaugural weekly draw to Saturday, November 28. “We promised bigger and better and more particularly we promised better technology and security. We take our promises seriously and we will not risk presenting an inferior product,” said the statement. “This is a short fix and we will have our inaugural draw next week. Rest assured each and every one of your entries will be automatically entered into the draw of November 2020.” “This was not an easy decision to make but, in order to ensure that our players’ draw experience is not affected, it was a necessary one.” Under the rebranded Mahzooz lottery, those who match all six numbers can claim a share of a Dhs50m grand prize. Those who match five of the six numbers will share a Dhs1m prize, while participants with four matching numbers will earn a guaranteed cash prize of Dhs1,000. Those with three matching numbers will receive Dhs35 – the same purchase price for a collectable which will earn an entry into the draw.
