Public sector workers in the UAE will similarly be off from from Sunday, June 2, resuming work on Sunday, June 9, the UAE Cabinet announced on Sunday. Meanwhile the holiday for private sector employees in the UAE will begin on Monday, June 3 (Ramadan 29) and last until the 3rd of Shawwal (Thursday, June 6 or Friday, June 7), the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced. Work will resume of 4th of Shawwal. The UAE’s moon-sighting committee will announce the exact date next week.
