Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority has announced the timings of different services including the Metro, Tram and parking during Ramadan.
In terms of parking, the RTA’s recently revised fares and timings will be applicable in most areas. Fees in zones A, B, C, D and G will be applicable from 8.00am to 10.00pm, Saturday to Thursday.
Parking fares in zone E – the fish market area – will run from 8.00am to 11.00pm.
Meanwhile those parking in zone F – in Tecom (Dubai Media City and Dubai Internet City) and Knowledge Village – will have to pay charges from 6:00am to 8:00pm during the holy month.
In line with the recent changes, free parking is no longer available from 1.00pm to 4.00pm.
In terms of the Dubai Metro, all the stations on the red line will remain open from 5.30am to 12.00am (midnight), Saturday to Wednesday.
On Thursday, the service will run from 5.30am to 1.00am and on Friday from 10.00am to 1.00am.
All the green line stations will function from 5.50am to 12.00am midnight, Saturday to Wednesday.
They will stay open from 5.50am to 1.00am on Thursday and from 10.00 am to 1.00 am on Friday.
Metro feeder stations such as Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Burj Khalifa, Abu Hail and Etisalat will open at 5.15am and close at 12.30am from Saturday to Wednesday.
On Thursday they will function from 5.15am to 1.10am and on Friday from 9.30am to 1.10am, the RTA confirmed.
Meanwhile the Dubai Tram will run from 6.30am to 1.00am, Saturday to Thursday and from 9.00am to 1.00am on Friday.
The holy month is expected to begin on Monday, June 6.
