Dubai’s Emirates to resume flights to Seychelles from August 1

Dubai carrier Emirates will resume passenger services to Seychelles from August 1, it announced on July 22.

Flights will operate to Seychelles five times a week with Boeing 777-300ER.

Additionally, Emirates will ramp up its services to the Maldives from the current five times a week to six times weekly from August 4 to meet customer demand.

Emirates Holidays has also relaxed its policy to facilitate customers in booking a holiday package in advance with a nominal deposit of Dhs199, as well as introduced video appointments.

Emirates currently serves over 60 destinations in its network, facilitating travel between the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Asia Pacific via a connection in Dubai.

Tourists can travel to Dubai as the city has re-opened for business and leisure visitors from July 7, with new air travel protocols in place for UAE citizens, residents and tourists.

Emirates has implemented several precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of passengers and employees on the ground and in the air, including the distribution of complimentary hygiene kits containing masks, gloves, hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes.

Those looking to travel via the airline will have to meet entry requirements of their destination country.

In July, the airline said that it had processed nearly 650,000 refund requests in the past two months, returning over Dhs1.9bn to its customers due to several cancellations as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
