Dubai airline Emirates has resumed its operations to Croatia’s Zagreb for summer, and will operate the route until October 26, 2019, it announced on Monday.

Its partner airline, flydubai will then begin to operate during the winter season.

The airlines had announced last year that they will jointly operate flights between Dubai and Croatia’s Zagreb as part of their partnership.

Flydubai launched three-times weekly flights to Zagreb in 2014, but suspended the route in 2016.

Meanwhile Emirates launched a daily route to the Croatian capital in June 2017.

As part of the agreement, flydubai operated the route from December 2, 2018 until March 30, 2019.

The “strategic partnership between both airlines ensures capacity is deployed to best serve customer demand”, a statement said.

Emirates flight EK 129 will depart Dubai at 8.30 am and arrive in Zagreb at 12.35 pm local time, while the return flight EK 130 will depart Zagreb at 3.25 pm and arrive in Dubai at 11pm local time.

The route will be operated by a Boeing 777-300ER.

Due to the planned upgrade works on the southern runway at DXB, from April 16 until May 30 2019, Emirates’ flights to Zagreb will operate as four times weekly on Saturday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

From May 31, the route will be operated as a daily service, the statement added.

Emirates’ daily service to Zagreb will operate in a three-class configuration with eight first class seats, 42 seats in business class and 304 seats in economy class.
