The airline has confirmed on its website that it has begun flying to the popular tourist destination five times a week from August 1. It has deployed a Boeing 777 on the route with an average cost for a one-way flight from Dubai to Seychelles priced at Dhs2,800. .@Emirates received a warm welcome today as it became the first international airline to return to Seychelles, coinciding with the country’s re-opening to tourists. Emirates recently became the world’s first airline to offer Covid-19 related cover to passengers, allowing customers to claim medical expenses of up to EUR150,000 and quarantine costs of EUR100 per day for 14 days, regardless of class of travel or destination on flights undertaken until October 31. Read: Dubai’s Emirates to be first airline to offer free cover for Covid-19 medical costs for passengers Emirates has also implemented safety and precautionary measures including the distribution of complimentary hygiene kits containing masks, gloves, hand sanitisers and antibacterial wipes to all customers. As part of the Covid-19 precautionary measures, the airline has said that from August 1, all passengers – including UAE citizens, residents, tourists, and passengers connecting in Dubai – arriving into the emirate from any destination must have a negative Covid-19 PCR test certificate. The test must be taken a maximum of 96 hours before departure.
